The Joliet Public Library also has a collection of city directories from 1875 to the present time.  It provides the residents name, address, and occupational information. This can also be a supplement to the 1890 United States Census that was lost in a fire a the Commerce Building in 1921.

I will do a look up and print the page for $5.oo ($3.oo if not found).  In most cases everyone by that name will be on the page.  So you may discover additional relatives at the same address by just requesting one name!
